How does the RTR-NetTest work?

The RTR-NetTest measures quality parameters of your Internet access by test transmissions from your PC or smart phone to the RTR server. Individual test results are calculated from this. Full details of the test methodology are available here.

The RTR-NetTest consists of different tests.

• First of all the "RTR Multithreaded Broadband Test" (RMB-Test) is done, which measures download, upload, ping and – in the mobile Android version – signal strength (depending on the device).
• Moreover, the mobile apps allow quality of service features to be tested as well (unchanged content, reference site, transparent connection, DNS, TCP ports and UDP ports).
