At the request of Tele2 Telecommunication GmbH for the issuance of an order pursuant to Art. 50 TKG 2003 vis-à-vis Telekom Austria TA AG with regard to enabling open collocation, the Telekom-Control Commission issued an order for sub-loop unbundling in the decision of October 22, 2007. As of January 1, 2008, alternative operators will be enabled to open up, in the form of open collocation, the main distribution frames of Telekom Austria TA AG not yet accessible by means of (closed) collocation on January 1, 2008. At the same time, however, Telekom Austria TA AG is given the opportunity to provide also closed collocation at the maximum cost of and within the time limits for open collocation. Access to open collocation takes place in the company of TA staff; if access is granted late, the unbundling partner may request penalties.
