Multiband Auction 800/900/1800 MHz (2013) - Frequency Spectrum

In this procedure, 28 frequency blocks of 2 x 5 MHz within the frequency bands of

  • 800 MHz: 791-821 MHz (Downlink) and 832-862 MHz (Uplink) ,
  • 900 MHz: 880-915 MHz (Uplink) and 925-960 MHz (Downlink) and
  • 1800 MHz: 1710-1785 MHz (Uplink) and 1805-1880 MHz (Downlink).

will be awarded, which for the purpose of the auction procedure are assigned to different categories (A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3, C1, C2 and C3).

As the frequency ranges of 900 MHz and 1800 MHz are currently being used, parts of these frequency ranges will only be available as of 1 January 2016, 1 January 2018 and 1 January 2020, respectively. The upper end of the 1800 MHz band, which has not been used so far (former DECT guard band), and the entire 800 MHz band will be available immediately after the allocation.
